Questions

Is JPEG different from JPG?

No. JPEG is the format (Joint Photographic Experts Group); JPG is the same file with a three-letter extension from the days when Windows allowed only three. Some upload forms accept only .jpg, which is the reason to convert.

Will quality change?

At Best (100%) the pixels are re-encoded once at maximum quality and the difference is not visible. If you only need the extension changed, that is enough.

Is anything uploaded?

No, it runs in your browser.
