Why won't my HEIC photos open on Windows?
Windows and many web forms do not read Apple's HEIC format. JPG opens everywhere, which is why this converter exists.
Does the conversion lose quality?
HEIC to JPG is a re-encode, so a little detail is lost, but at 90% quality it is not visible. Keep the original if you plan to edit heavily.
